The audiences gets a treat to a wide range of music within this genre itself. BTS, Blackpink, NCT, Seventeen, Twice, Red Velvet are household KPOP idol group names today. With the increase in global audiences, KPOP groups have conscioulsy customised their lyrics and added English words for the listening pleasure of their audiences. And we are not at all complaining.

This song holds 6 Guiness world records including Most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube with 3.9 million views. Viewers loved the song for its disco- dance pop genre with some cool EDM. The song came out during the peak of Covid pandemic and was an ideal summer song.
The catchy English lyrics, cool dance moves and a unique combination of the choreography in the yellow and black shades throughout the song was an immediate hit with music lovers worldwide. ARMY – fandom of BTS were given a special tribute as the group members created an “ARMY” formulation in the dance with RM rapping, “Got Army behind us when we say so”. This song is also nominated for the Grammy awards this year.

2. Lalisa by Lisa
This is the first solo by the Lisa of Blackpink KPOP girl group. This Hip hop EDM genre KPOP song has Korean and English lyrics. The lyrics are simple with, “lalisa lalisa” as the catchy phrase of this song. The music video received 73.6 million views within its first day of release, making it a Guniess record for most views in a single day by a soloist performer.
The MV also holds th Guiness record for most number of views in a day for a KPOP solo artist. The MV is a visual treat as you have Lisa change into different attires across various scenes deftly. Lisa is of Thai origin and her Thai attire in the Thai Phanom Rung temple background is the highlight of the song. In fact, tourists flocked to Phanom Rung temple after this MV and Lisa received a special word of thanks from the Thailand PM for promoting Thai culture.

3. Next level by Aespa
This is a hip hop dance upbeat single by the KPOP girl group Aespa. The song was well received globally, making them the second KPOP girl group to have entered the Global Billboard charts 200 twice. The song is in fast pace, with upbeat music. The MV is setup in futuristic scenario. Overall, the music is very catchy and you will definitely add it to your music loop.

4. Dumb Dumb by Jeon Somi
This is a dance pop genre song recording by singer and song writer Jeon Somi, from her debut album XOXO. The song peaked at No. 9 in the Billboards KPOP Hot 100 and the No. 8 at the Gaon Digital Chart. The song has a bit of English lyrics. The MV is set in a colorful college background with girl meet boy situations. The song keeps changing its pace and is a fast number.

5. Perfect world by Twice
This is a pop genre title track by the KPOP group Twice. The album debuted at No.1 in the Billboards Japan chart. The MV has elaborate dance sequences and the KPOP group simply danced away effortlessly! The song talks about heart break and how the girls do not want to go back there. This is a hip hop, dance track by the girl KPOP group Itzy. It makes reference to the falling in love, yet not showing it, like in the Mafia game. The lyrics are mostly Korean & the key lyrics are in English. The MV is shot is in a dark, yet glamarous set. The dance moves are impressive. This song was a hit as it peaked at No.7 at the Billbord KPOP Hundred list. Critics praised the group to explore various sound through this song.

This is a hip hop, dance track heavily inspired by Bollywood recorded by the girl KPOP group Loona. It talks about self liberation of sorts. The MV is themed in alternate of Black and white and has some enthralling dance steps to watch out for. There is also a bit of interesting special effects. This song has 50M views on Youtube till date. The song peaked at No.9 in the US Billboard World Digital song sales.

This is a pop summer single release by the KPOP boy band Ateez as part of their album Dreamers. It is an uplifting KPOP track that has the perfect blend of vocals and music. The lyrics are motivating and talks about one should never give up on their dreams. The song was well received especially in Japan and India. This dance pop KPOP song is a stand alone release single by BTS. Interestingly, it was written by Ed Sheeran along with others. The MV gives positive vibes and a feeler that the pandemic will end soon. The members are in colorful cow boy attire and groove to some cool dance steps. The other highlight of the song is that the MV has signs in deaf and dumb language as well. The MV has 406Million views since its release. The song debuted at No.1 on the Billboards top 100 list.
